What began as an individual journey in logistics has evolved into a family-driven business built on experience, resilience and a shared passion for the transport industry.
 

After graduating from Stellenbosch University with a Bachelor’s Degree in B.Prim.Ed in 1991, the founder’s career took an unexpected turn when she joined Goldfields Logistics as a logistics operator. It was there that a deep passion for trucks and the logistics industry was ignited.
 

Over the next 24 years, she gained invaluable industry knowledge and experience while working for three leading transport companies. During this time, she developed not only strong operational expertise, but also trusted relationships, industry connections and an extensive network within the transport sector.
 

In 2015, the opportunity arose to build something of her own, and Helderberg Logistics was established. The name was inspired by the company’s original base in Somerset West, situated at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain.
 

Growing up surrounded by trucks, transport discussions and the daily rhythm of the logistics world, her sons were immersed in the industry from an early age. Their passion for transport developed naturally through real-life exposure rather than textbooks alone, guided by the belief that true mastery comes from practical experience — learning by doing, adapting and persevering.
 

Today, the family works together to build not only a successful business, but a lasting legacy — combining decades of experience with fresh energy, vision and ambition.
