Helderberg Logistics is a privately, family-owned company.
The day-to-day management is handled by a dynamic mother–and–son duo, supported by a highly motivated and dedicated team consisting currently of 4 office personnel and 5 drivers committed ti delivering value, quality and personal attention.
Our key to service excellence is efficient communication, honesty and transparency fueled by a
passion for logistics and operations.
At HBL we know and understand that each client has their unique transport requirements in moving their product safely, which is our inspiration to design logistic solutions to meet every client’s transport needs.
Amanda Carstens
Managing Director
Qualified with a Bachelor's Degree in B.Prim.Ed from University Stellenbosch 1991. Career took a whole new path after starting as a logistics operator with Goldfields where the passion for trucks and logistics started. I was fortunate to work for 3 logistics companies over the span of 24 years building invaluable knowledge but most importantly contacts in the industry. In 2015 I got the opportunity to begin and be part of my own business and Helderberg Logistics was born.
Matthys Carstens
Operations Manager
I joined my mother in the business in 2019. I grew up in an environment of transport and logistics. I followed my mother's motto of practical learning in real life as there are basics you can study in the logistics industry, but the best learning master is to jump in and swim. The passion for trucks and logistics came from an early age and my dream was always one day when I'm "big" to own my own trucks. The dream is in the making and growing each year.
Dwayne Van Der Merwe
Logistics Operator
I started as an operator with Massyn Transport in 2017. I relocated to Cape Town in 2021 where I joined the HBL family. My main aim is to grow with the company as part of a family.
Gerber Carstens
Admin Manager
I qualified with a degree in BCom Marketing and Management Science. I joined HBL in 2021. My role initially is to assist my mom, Amanda with the administration and to learn from her as much as possible as the goal is for me and my brother, Matthys, to take over the company when she retires. I will head all administration and financial responsibilities and Matthys all operations and management of the fleet together with the team we build as we go.
